About Me
My name is Tori!
I am a first-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Texas Woman’s University, turned blogger. I started my blog as a way to help future PTs on their journey from undergrad to practicing PT. While there are a variety of great resources out there, my hope is that I can provide a significant amount of knowledge to help Pre-PTs, while offering a unique perspective from my personal journey.
I was born and raised in the Houston, TX area and have lived here my entire life. I always knew I wanted to enter the healthcare sphere but didn’t quite know what I was specifically interested. It wasn’t until my junior year of high school, where I attended my mom’s physical therapy sessions, there, I met an incredible PT. I had never really been involved with sports and fortunately avoided any injuries, so my knowledge about physical therapy was limited at best. I had to turn to blogs, YouTube and Instagram to answer the questions I had. The resources I was able to find were life-saving and while they were incredibly helpful, I think another perspective can never hurt.
My hope for PT and SHE is to encourage and educate Pre-PTs, Pre-PTAs, and those interested in other healthcare fields, to feel comfortable tackling the application process and beyond.
